Products & Ordering
How do I place an order?
The best way to place an order is to give us a call at 1-866-578-3781 or 416-907-4471, so we can find out exactly what you want. Together we can determine the product that is best for you and give you the most accurate quote. This also allows us to explain the artwork requirements, different fees associated with imprinting your product, and shipping and handling charges.
What if I want a specific product that I can't find on this site?
Our website is a great way to search our products, but if you have a custom product in mind, or one that you haven't been able to find here, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We are more than willing to help you put together a solid promotional program for your business.
Can I see a sample of my imprint/logo, before it goes to press?
We can send you a paper proof via email. Depending on the item, the factory may provide a production sample prior to going to press. Additional charges may apply for paper and production proofs. Please call for details.
How long will it take to get my order?
Once your order is placed and the artwork has been approved - it may take 1-3 weeks before you receive your items. We can offer rush service on some items for nominal charge. Rush charges vary per product and Supplier and will be applied to your order and your order will ship Next Day Delivery. Please be aware that some items cannot be rushed due to production schedules and the actual printing process. Please call us for specific details.
Do you do split shipments?
Yes. If you would like to ship your order to multiple locations, please call for a quote.
Pricing & Payments
Are the prices I see on your product catalog the only costs?
There are additional fees involved in imprinting a product. There usually is a setup charge and depending on what type of imprint method your product requires there could be screen charges for each colour you imprint, die charges, etc. Shipping and taxes are additional.
What is a Setup Charge?
This is a nominal fee that applies to some orders with an imprint. This charge is for the labour it takes to calibrate the equipment or machinery that is doing the imprinting. Generally the price ranges from $25-$100 per colour depending on the Supplier.
What is a Screen Charge?
Most products require that a silk screen or plate be made in order to apply your custom imprint. If your artwork is more than one colour, a screen must be made for each colour. Screen charges are one-time charges per product, per imprint. New imprints will require new screens and charges.
Is shipping & handling free?
Prices do not include shipping & handling charges. All products are shipped F.O.B. factory. Shipping & handling will be added to your final invoice. We have suppliers with factories and shipping points throughout North America and Asia to bring you a vast selection of products.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept money orders and certified cheques. We also offer payment terms for businesses. Please contact us for a credit application. If credit is extended, please note that all orders are payable upon receipt unless otherwise specified on your invoice.
Artwork
What are acceptable formats, platforms and sizes for artwork/logos?
Preferred art formats are Vector Files in EPS, AI or PDF format, with fonts converted to outlines. JPEGs or TIFFs may also be acceptable depending on the item. If all this sounds like greek to you, simply send us what you have and we can advise you.
What is the difference between a Vector file and a JPG or TIFF?
Vector files can be resized and edited without losing quality. JPGs and TIFFs are "raster" files composed of pixels. They have a fixed resolution which means that resizing the graphic can result in pixellation, distortion and jagged edges.
Can my artwork contain shades and gradients?
Generally speaking, no. Most promotional products require solid colours for your artwork to be reproduced correctly.
Where do I send my artwork/logo?
We will send you an email or FTP link, depending on the size of your file.
Can you help with my artwork?
Imagimax is dedicated to providing you with complete service. If you need help with your artwork we will do our best to assist you. Additional charges may apply.
My logo is in the wrong format. Can you still work with what I have?
We can redraw or reformat your artwork. Additional charges may apply.
Can you colour-match my logo?
If you would like a colour match, please include PMS colour numbers, rather than CMYK or RGB. We'll match PMS colours as closely as possible; however, exact colour matching is not guaranteed. Extra charges may apply for PMS colour matching. If no PMS colours are specified, stock ink colours will be used at no additional charge.(PMS is an abbreviation for Pantone Matching System™, a colour matching system used by printers and manufacturers worldwide).
What is the difference between CMYK colour and spot or PMS colour?
A spot colour is a specially mixed ink used in printing. Spot colour inks come in a rainbow of colours, including some specialty inks such as metallic and flourescent. Unlike the CMYK process which creates colours by laying down layers of just 4 specific inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), spot colours are pre-mixed in precise percentages from a wide range of colours to produce an exact shade (e.g. Pantone 486 is mixed from two parts Yellow, two parts Rubine Red and twelve parts Transparent white basic inks). This pre-mixed ink is introduced to the printing press as a one-off colour. The advantage of spot colour printing is that the colour is more solid, more consistent and more accurately rendered than using CMYK. However it is a more expensive process.
Can you archive my artwork?
Yes! We can provide you with access to your archive, to reorder or use any past items as needed. Many of our clients utilize this service to save time and cost.
